[Intro]
[slap bass, electric guitar scratching, acoustic piano, and drums enter]
[handclaps on beats 2 and 4]

[Chorus]
God gave me a testimony
And now I want to testify
God gave me a testimony
And now I want to testify
I'll tell about His goodness
And how He saved this soul of mine

[Chorus]
God gave me a testimony [choir: God gave me a testimony]
And now I want to testify [choir: God gave me a testimony]
God gave me a testimony [choir: God gave me a testimony]

[Verse]
I know Him as a Savior, I know Him as a friend
I know Him as a healer when those doctors gave in
He healed this broken body, gave me a brand new start
Stayed with me through the valley and said we'd never part
God gave me a testimony
And now I want to testify (hey, hey, hey, yeah!)

[Chorus]
God gave me a testimony [choir: God gave me a testimony]
And now I want to testify [choir: God gave me a testimony]
God gave me a testimony [choir: God gave me a testimony]
And now I want to testify [choir: God gave me a testimony]
I'll tell about His goodness [choir: God gave me a testimony]
And how He saved this soul of mine (hey, hey, hey, yeah!) [choir: God gave me a testimony]

[Verse]
Lying on the table, the doctor said he's gone
But Jesus like with Lazarus said no he's living on
They said he may not walk again, they said he may not see
But Jesus fought the battle and gave me the victory

[Chorus]
God gave me a testimony [choir: God gave me a testimony]
And now I want to testify (hey, hey, hey, yeah!)

[Outro]
God gave me a testimony [choir: God gave me a testimony]
And now I want to testify [choir: God gave me a testimony]
God gave me a testimony [choir: God gave me a testimony]
And now I want to testify [choir: God gave me a testimony]
I'll tell about His goodness [choir: God gave me a testimony]
