 Coach Jimmy Mack's Artist Bio

Coach Mack also known as Pastor Mack is a multitalented singer, songwriter, musician, recording engineer, and producer.  Coach Jimmy Mack has over 50 years of experience playing as a professional musician with some of the top R&B music groups from the 70’s.

Coach Jimmy Mack was born in North Carolina under the star sign of Scorpio. At the age of 13, Jimmy picked up his first bass, and within six months, was part of a local band. He became the lead singer and bass player for the recording group Shadows of Soul that opened for well-known groups such as The Friends of Distinction, Sister Rose, and The Cornelius Brothers. Due to his exceptional bass-playing skills, Jimmy Mack was nicknamed "Bass Master". He later attracted the attention of and was picked up by the Motown Recording group Junior Walker and the All Stars. This led to him meeting and working with other professionals out of Motown, Epic, and Atlantic records.

Coach Jimmy Mack later attended college and got his degree in Philosophy and a Doctorate Degree in Divinity.

One of the greatest moments in Jimmy Mack music career was meeting and getting praised by Country music legend Mr. Roy Clark.

Besides his extensive music career, Jimmy Mack has devoted his life to fighting for the rights of juveniles in the court system. Former president Barack Obama has also awarded him a Lifetime Achievement award for his advocacy work.
